Whether you’re beginning your journey in genealogy or you’ve reached a stage where you need a professional genealogist, at Oakwood Family Trees, I can carry out research for you.
If you require investigation into a particular family line, person or event, I can tailor my research to you. This includes research in archives and field visits to churches, cemeteries, places of residence and other places important to your ancestors.

Family Tree add ons
For the perfect keepsake or gift have your family tree report printed and presented in an attractive hardback folder.
£35 plus postage
Keep all of your family tree research safe by
storing it on a custom Family History USB with presentation box. Your research will be uploaded in GEDCOM * format and will also contain all images and research used to compile your tree and will often include extra information not covered in the scope of the report.
£25 plus postage
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers can be purchased for complete packages or for an amount towards bespoke research. They can also be used towards producing a printed family tree of your choice.

Packages
I'm here to help you begin your journey
All packages can be purchased as the perfect gift for a loved one.
My packages primarily use sources available online and with premium access to all the major genealogy subscription sites, I hope to trace your chosen line back to the early 1800s. This can be done for families from England and Wales but should my research lead to Scottish ancestry extra charges will apply.**
Reports will be produced in a digital format and will be e-mailed to you.
Should you require a printed copy, these can be provided for £12 + P&P as a basic copy, or £38 + P&P printed on quality paper in an attractive presentation folder for the perfect gift or keepsake.

Bronze Package
Research into one line of your family tree back to the early 1800s, this could be your maternal or paternal line or a surname of your choice and will include:

The names of direct ancestors for the chosen line, with a chronological biography including the year of birth, marriage and death for each person.

Occupations and places of residence, if available.

Names of ancestor’s siblings and children.

Information on WW1 involvement if applicable.

Copies of wills if available.

Research into two family lines of your choice back to at least the early 1800's, this could be both your maternal and paternal line and will include:

Platinum Package
Research into your 8 x great grandparents from online sources. A dropdown pedigree tree will be produced of your direct ancestors with a report presented in a narrative format of individual family groups placed in national and local historical context. Any photographs or other family documents provided by the client can be included.

* GEDCOM is the universal standard for genealogy files and can be used with a variety of Family tree applications, including Ancestry and Family search.
**If research leads to Scottish ancestry, a pre agreed extra fee of £20 - £40 may be required per package, as the Scottish Genealogical records are only available as a ‘pay as you go’ service.
